Frequently Asked Questions About AE Assistant
Here you’ll find clear answers to the most common questions about AE Assistant: what it is, how it works, how much it costs, and what you can do with our administrative self-guides.
1. General Questions
What is AE Assistant?
AE Assistant is an administrative self-help platform designed to help you complete official procedures on your own, without having to rely on expensive agencies or intermediaries. It shows you, step by step, what to do, what documents you need, and how to fill out each form.
Who is the website for?
AE Assistant is designed especially for people who live, work, or want to settle in Europe: immigrants, students, workers, families, benefit applicants, and anyone who needs to complete administrative procedures in another country.
Does it replace an administrative agency or a lawyer?
No. AE Assistant does not offer legal advice or legal representation. It provides you with practical information, guides, examples, and official links so you can handle the paperwork on your own. In complex situations or sensitive cases, we always recommend consulting a qualified professional.
2. How AE Assistant Works
How do I start using AE Assistant?
It’s very simple:
- At the top of the website, select your country.
- Select the official procedure you want to complete.
- Open the self-help guide and follow the steps one by one.
In each guide, you’ll find clear explanations, lists of required documents, links to official websites, and, in some cases, sample forms.
Do I need to make an appointment or speak with someone?
No. AE Assistant is available 24/7 and can be used directly from your browser. You don’t have to make an appointment, call by phone, or wait for a response: just log in, choose your procedure, and follow the guide.
Can I complete the procedures myself even if I don’t have a good command of the language?
Yes. The self-guides are written in clear Spanish and explain what each field on the form means, even when the government agency uses a different language. Additionally, we usually link to official multilingual resources when they are available.
What happens if the regulations or the form change?
We review the guides periodically to adapt them to significant changes (new forms, new online platforms, additional requirements, etc.). If you notice that something has changed, you can let us know via the contact page and we’ll review it.
3. Costs and Plans
Is AE Assistant free or paid?
Many basic self-guides are free. Our goal is for anyone to be able to understand their administrative procedures without spending hundreds of euros on administrative agencies.
In the future, we’ll add a Pro plan with advanced content, downloadable templates, and extra features for those who need to take it a step further.
Why do you talk about “doing it yourself without spending hundreds of euros”?
Because most administrative procedures can be handled directly by the citizen if they have the right information: which form to use, where to submit it, what documents to include, and how to fill it out. AE Assistant brings all of that together in clear guides so you can handle it on your own and only turn to administrative agencies when it’s truly necessary.
Do you charge fees for the procedures or for the links?
We do not charge fees on behalf of public administrations. All links to official websites and portals lead directly to each country’s websites. If at any time we offer associated services (for example, certified translation or external administrative services), we will indicate this clearly and transparently.
